Neuroaes Thetics
The fifth chapter on “Neuroaesthetics” focuses on the relation of art and the human brain. It begins with a technologically informed critique of the limited usefulness of digital brain-imagery for the study of art and aesthetics. The remainder of the chapter elaborates and evaluates the methodological premises and aesthetic insights that separate humanist approaches from scientific approaches in contemporary neuroaesthetics.
