Alexandra Lutnick’s study provides a concrete example of the participatory research method described in Chapter Two that successfully operationalizes Berger and Guidroz’s “politics of location” approach to social science research on sexuality. The Sex Worker Environmental Assessment Team Study used both qualitative and quantitative inquiries to discover what legal framework sex workers’ preferred for their industry.
