Chapter One describes and analyzes the Nuclear Non-Proliferation (NNP) Regime. Arguing that Realist and Liberal IR explanations for the emergence of security regimes are inadequate, it conducts a Foucauldian analysis of the depoliticizing effects of a regime that occludes a deeply hierarchical global nuclear order.
