This chapter talks about Takahashi Mutsuo’s first sexual experiences, comparing the sensations of sexuality to Japanese children’s games such as the gikkon battan and You Can See Tokyo. It describes Mutsuo’s association of sexual awareness to the sluice by the edge of the pond in front of his grandmother’s house, where he was first exposed to homoeroticism through a teenage boy named Sentarō.
