The chapter descrirbes Vassos’s retirement and continued influence on RCA after Robert Sarnoff became the president. Vassos continued to pitch design ideas and make recommendations after his retirement in 1971 and was honoured for his work by numerous art institutes. He embarked on an autobiography project in his later years, but passed on in 1985 in relative anonymity.
