This concluding chapter further develops the concept of speculative security and relates it to wider debates on preemptive politics and premediation. Here, the objective is to render visible the violence implicit in these practices and to assess the collateral damage of the finance-security assemblage. It also explores practices of contestation and resistance in relation to the finance-security assemblage. If existing points of politicization, such as privacy, are now insufficient to challenge the developments described and analyzed in this book, how can we rethink resistance in the face of the contemporary ban?
